Hello! I’m Joshua

Feeling like you don’t quite fit in — or like the world wasn’t built with you in mind — can be exhausting. You don’t have to navigate that alone.

As someone who identifies as queer and AuDHD, I bring both personal understanding and clinical perspective to the work, helping clients feel seen while also creating meaningful, lasting change.

I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can show up as your authentic self. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, or feeling like you don’t quite fit in, therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale—not another challenge to overcome.

My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and empowered as you work toward building a life that feels aligned with who you are.

Who I Work With

  • Teens (14-18) and adults (19-64)

  • Individuals and couples

Areas of Focus

I work with a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • ADHD, Autism, and neurodivergence (including AuDHD)

  • Trauma and PTSD (including complex trauma)

  • Identity exploration (gender, sexuality, and self-concept)

  • Religious trauma

  • Relationship concerns and non-traditional relationship dynamics

  • Self-esteem and life direction

I especially enjoy working with individuals who feel different, unseen, or are learning to better understand how their brain and identity shape their experiences.

My Approach

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I use a trauma-informed, affirming, and collaborative approach tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Modalities I integrate include:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Feminist and Multicultural approaches

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Somatic-based approaches

  • Narrative therapy

My work focuses on helping you understand the “why” behind your experiences, not just manage symptoms, so you can begin healing at the source and reclaim your sense of agency.

Background & Experience

I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska.

I earned my Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and hold a Bachelor of Science from Peru State College.

In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in advocacy and community engagement, particularly in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and promoting social justice. I also enjoy supporting local artists and helping bring their stories to life—reflecting my belief in the power of narrative and self-expression.

What You Can Expect

  • A safe, affirming, and inclusive space

  • A collaborative, non-judgmental approach

  • Therapy that honors your identity and lived experience

  • Support in understanding yourself—not just coping

  • A focus on empowerment, voice, and meaningful change

Let’s Get Started

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—but it can also be the beginning of something meaningful.

If you’re ready to better understand yourself and create a life that feels more aligned, I’d be honored to work with you. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
