Hello! I’m Ann Marie

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can openly explore what you’re going through and begin making meaningful changes. Whether you’re facing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and equipped to move forward.

With a background in high-stress environments and trauma-focused care, I specialize in helping clients move through what feels stuck and overwhelming.

Who I Work With

  • Children (age 6+), teens, and adults

  • Individuals, couples, and families

Areas of Focus

I work with a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Trauma & PTSD

  • Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders

  • Personality and relational patterns

  • Grief and loss

  • Life transitions and stress-related challenges

  • Serious and persistent mental illness

My Approach

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I use an eclectic, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach that adapts to your unique needs and goals.

Modalities I integrate include:

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — Master Certified

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — Trained

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — Trained

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — Trained

  • Family Systems Therapy — Informed

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) — Informed

  • Somatic-based approaches — Informed

  • Solution-Focused and Person-Centered approaches — Informed

This allows us to tailor the work to what is most effective for you; not just what is typical.

Background & Experience

I am a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 20 years working within the Department of Defense in plans, operations, and special programs. That experience shaped my ability to work in high-stress environments and brings a strong foundation in problem-solving, systems thinking, and human behavior into my clinical work.

Outside of counseling, my husband and I recently purchased my grandparents’ farm, where we run a cow/calf operation. Continuing our family’s fifth-generation farming legacy is something I deeply value and helps keep me grounded in the work I do.

I hold a Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and am a Master Certified Practitioner in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

What You Can Expect
